Return, Cancellation & Damage Policy
At Arcadia Modern Home, every piece is hand-selected by our designers because we genuinely love it. Our collection reflects a thoughtful balance of design, quality, and our signature Modern meets Desert aesthetic.

RETURNS
We understand that sometimes things don’t work out. Please read our return policy carefully, as certain items are not eligible for return.
Return Eligibility Overview
Returns are accepted within 15 days of the date you received your item, provided the product is unused, in original condition, and in its original packaging.
Return eligibility depends on where the item was purchased, how it was ordered, and the item category, as outlined below.
Eligible Returns (15 Days)
In-Store (Showroom) Purchases
Applies only to items purchased directly from available showroom inventory. Special-order items placed through the showroom are excluded.
- Small décor items
- Smaller home accessories and furnishings, including non-hardwired lighting, small area rugs, poufs, side tables, and similar items
Online Purchases
- Small décor items
Items may be returned to our Penticton showroom or shipped back to us. Return shipping costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.
Additional Return Conditions
- Purchases or items over $500 may be subject to a 20% restocking fee
- Textiles (including cushions and throws) must be returned within 48 hours
- All returned items must be unused and carefully packaged
Once items are received, they will be inspected to confirm original condition. If damage occurs during return transit, any refund issued will be assessed based on the item’s condition.
Refunds will be processed to the original method of payment or issued as store credit within 5–7 business days of receipt.
Final Sale / Non-Returnable Items
The following items are final sale and not eligible for return:
- Smaller home accessories and furnishings purchased online, including non-hardwired lighting, small area rugs, poufs, side tables, and similar items
- Any special-order items, including those ordered through our showroom but not purchased directly from in-stock showroom inventory
- Large furniture (including sideboards, dining tables, beds, sofas, cabinets, or any item exceeding 20 lbs)
- Custom-made furniture or artwork
- Mattresses (for sanitary reasons)
- Hardwired lighting of any kind (including pendants, sconces, chandeliers, etc.)
- Bedding and towels (for sanitary reasons)
- Floor models and final sale items
Why these items are final sale:
- Shipping Costs – Freight costs are often significantly higher than what customers are charged
- Storage Limitations – We are a small business and unfortunately do not have capacity to store returned items
- Environmental Impact – Reducing unnecessary shipping helps minimize our carbon footprint
CANCELLATIONS
Online Orders
- Online orders may be cancelled within 24 hours of purchase at no charge
- After 24 hours, orders cannot be cancelled and are considered final sale
Backordered Items
- Backordered items may be cancelled prior to shipment
- Custom-made furniture and artwork are final sale and cannot be cancelled
DAMAGES & DEFECTS
We take great care in packing and shipping; however, damage can occasionally occur during transit.
- All deliveries must be inspected prior to signing the proof of delivery
- A detailed inspection guide will be provided and must be reviewed and acknowledged prior to delivery
- Claims may be denied if delivery is signed for without proper inspection
Please note: if your order contains multiple items, they may ship separately and must be inspected individually.
If an item arrives damaged or defective, please contact us within 48 hours.
Include a description of the issue along with clear photos of:
- The damaged item
- Any visible damage to the packaging
Our team will review your claim within 24–48 hours and determine the appropriate resolution.
PRICE HONOURING
We do not honour price adjustments on previously placed orders or backordered items.
If you choose to cancel a backordered item to reorder during a promotional period:
- Your original item will no longer be reserved
- Your new order will likely ship later than your original
